I've had the great experience of working alongside Blake as an Architect. What I enjoy on our projects together are the attention to our clients needs and the amazing quality of work that his team puts out for every project.
I'm not one that typically writes reviews but home renovation/construction can either go well or really, really poorly. With that said... I wanted to share our experience. Knowing that you are working directly with the owner of the company who pays meticulous attention to detail is key but what may outweigh that was the optionality Blake provided around timeline and price. Not only was he flexible but outlined details around why things cost what they did and provided options for similar styles/products or less labor intensive tweaks that could be done to save money. Lastly... he finished the job. This may seem small but I've worked with many contractors that get about 80% of the way done, then it feels like I am no longer a priority. Usually construction leads to a few tweaks/changes towards the end of the project and this can create a number of different issues, but usually its the client and not the builder that gets screwed. I can't say enough about Blakes willingness to work with us and FINISH THE JOB. In an industry flooded with disingenuous people, Waldecker is a breathe of fresh air and I'll recommend this company to anyone looking to do projects up in Northern MI.
From the beginning of our project to the end we have had an excellent connection with Blake, our builder. Blake has been easy to communicate with and offered great suggestions and easily guided us through the process. He was quickly available to answer all questions or concerns by phone or text.

Everyone involved in our project from start to finish were friendly, polite and provided quality work. At the end of each work day the project site was left cleaned, tidy and organized. The team takes pride in their craftsmanship and respect and work well together.
